This attraction appears to be a beautifully kept cemetery. There are headstones and memorials all well kept and tended to. But no one is truly buried here. The soldiers are buried elsewhere or were never found. Go to honor the dead...even though they are not...More

I'm not sure that the graves are actually occupied, but it's a very nice memorial. It's well kept. Easily viewable from outside if the gate is locked

Unfortunately not in an accessible place for all to see. Should be marked as a "must see" place for tourists as well as locals. There is no other cemetery like it in Sudan

It's a kind of pilgrimage for me, visiting CWGC cemeteries. Considering this is in Sudan it is a wonderful place, beautifully kept and obviously well loved by the two attendants (and their backers in the British Embassy). It contains war dead from the war against...More

Just opposite NISS, and the busy street, you will find this beautifully kept oasis commemorating those who died during the campaigns of 1940/1 in Sudan, Ethiopia and Eritrea. Very moving at any time, especially during the Remembrance Day service organised by the British Embassy. See...More
