Thankfully we only spent one night here on our tour of South Africa. Our room, although dated, was clean and we had no problem with mosquitos in the room unlike many others in our party who were inundated with them. We took the hotel transport to the sister hotel which was worlds apart and enjoyed cocktails at their pool bar.... More

Travelled to Swaziland to perform some site and related engineering projects. After a long wet and cold day travelling arrived at this very well known hotel. Check in was OK bedroom was rather worn out. Bed was unfortunately very lumpy ( although the sheets weer clean and fresh) and teh bathroom was also in need of an urgent makeover.

While it is an older hotel, it is exceptionally well situated. The sorrounding environment is picturesque, with clean and neat room, although the decor is slightly outdated. Staff however are the polar opposite. From the entrance staff, reception, waitrons, kitchen staff and security. Service ranged from arrogant to indifferent, from slow to non-existent. Worse hotels have fared better due to... More

Our room was really big and clean. Free wifi; get your voucher at the reception. Restaurant was excellent! service really good. Diner and breakfast was excellent! We took the stairs because the elevators made much noise.

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this old, but friendly and welcoming hotel valley..It is is not luxurious but very clean and neat, and the staff are very helpful. The dinner buffet offers a splendid variety and the breakfasts are good. The atmosphere in the bar is pleasant and relaxing. We can recommend this hotel.

The biggest draw for this hotel is the price and location. Otherwise, patio glass door was cracked. I had ants coming in patio door and bathtub drain (lots of ants), notified management and they did nothing. I bought some any spray locally and took care of it. The building is wearing down, finishes are faded, elevator is a bit bouncy.... More

The view itself is really amazing, the food is sumptuous that the first day I tasted it I felt like not going back, I felt like the meal was not enough for my big appetite yet it was. Their pizza is so beyond amazing that I kept asking for more. Lol !

So, I'm generally easy to please but this hotel is stuck firmly in the early 90s. Having stayed there twice before, last in February 2016, this time I stayed in a Lodge instead. It's in desperate need of a serious "refresh". As a South African, the Sun International Group is considered seriously 5-star, 4-star at a minimum. This place is... More

Terrific food, excellent service, the staff is very nice and accommodating. The local wine was way over the top. We will gladly come again, hopefully in March. Thanks to all staff and the managing directors. Nasser
