Small temple which can be assessed after a small climb of steps.. Local people bring their children here for naming ceremony and for their well being... Very serene and nice !!

A small temple visited by locals for naming ceremonies. It is one of several built by the 4th Desi (who also built the Tiger's nest). I have found that all of his temples have a beautifully serene atmosphere about them. Ideal for meditating.

This temple is located above the thimphu city. The local people frequently visit the temple to offer prayers and offering. A nice place to visit. Can get very crowded as there are a lot of visitors going there.

At the end of a flight of stairs is the oldest temple. People come here for naming their kids. Multiple prayer wheels around the temple.

Simple-looking from the outside. Beautiful inside, with such peaceful vibes that it’s worth sitting down for a meditation when it is not too crowded. Lots of locals take their babies here to be named.

Free to enter unlike most other places of interest. It’s just a 2 min walk from the Sunday market or the Stadium. Huge prayer wheels clinking all day long under the plethora of flags fluttering all over the place. The central Monastry or temple is...More
