It takes 40min from Thamel by taxi but it totally worth it, if you are interested in this kind of attraction it is one of the best temples in Kathmandu.

The temple houses the idol of Vishnu lying on a bed of snakes in a pool of water. His throat is blue, having drank poison from the world.

You have to travel to inside a different part of KTM but its different nothing that you see on a daily basis - people could have maintained cleanliness as the rush of devotees is huge

Budanilkantha is hindu pilgrimage sites. the sleeping lord bishnu in water is so historic. i visited budanilknatha while hiking to shivapuri peak.

The largest Bishnu statue is lying down in a pond thousands of hindu pilgrims visit this temple to offer some sorts hindus ceremony . There is no restriction to take photos around temples.

This is old Vishnu temple. The name Budha has no connection to Buddha religion. The idol is huge and sleeping pose in water.

Beautiful place blessed by mother nature. God of Mountains Mount Everest visited by number of peoples around the world. Appreciate the people who have gathered courage after the earthquake.

No entrance fee charge.. you can see the Hindus doing their ritual for blessing. Something different to be discovered... you may add this place in ur itinerary if you have time.. Accessible and suitable for all.
