Easily the most prominent landmark in Pokhara, the Peace Temple (Stupa) provides a great view of the city. This is the one "required" spot to visit when first visiting Pokhara. It is a reasonable hike, but visitors often take taxis to a parking lot just below the stupa. You could also rent a bicycle or scooter to get there. It... More

We somehow missed the easy trail to the top and ended walking several miles up. The view from the top was amazing well worth the 2 hour walk

A clean and quiet place with good view of both Annapurna range and Fewa lake. I went hiking all the way from lakeside to Pagoda.

Took a boat across the lake and climbed up to the peace temple in the early morning. Climb from the lake side takes around 45 minutes. Awesome 360 degree views. Would suggest doing on a non-cloudy day.

This is a must visit place in Pokhara. Go around the sunset. Spend sometime there as you can see sun set which looks amazing from the top of the hill where the peace temple is located. In the same vicinity is the Japanese Buddhist temple as well. It's a nice peaceful and large area on the top of the hill.... More

We took a boat from lakeside over to the pagoda, and then walked up a grueling 45 minutes. We are quite active and found it to be quite challenging. There were large groups up there who were extremely loud even though there are signs everywhere that say to be silent. It was really cool. and easy walk down. My recommendation:... More

My wife and I hired a boat and paddled across Phewa lake. We hiked up to the Peace Pagoda. It took about 45 mins to get up there. The views of the lake and Pokhara were great. The pagoda was a little disappointing because it really is a very large stupa. I thought it would be a temple that we... More

The walk up the hill that the World Peace Pagoda sits atop is challenging (in the heat), but definitely worth it once you reach the top! Be sure to bring plenty of water with you and prepare yourself for a spectacular view! The Stupa itself is magnificent! The surrounding mountain ranges - including the Annapurna's to the north - make... More

This stupa which was apparently build by the Japanese is very pretty. And the view from the hill it sits on is wonderful. One can take a boat on phewa lake to the beginning of the trail up to the stupa, and have a nice hike up and then back down the other side passing by some local houses and... More
