Beautiful Temple

This temple is a small complex about 8 minute walk from the MRT. Well worth the MRT trip and is out of the central city for a quiet time.

This is not just a place of worship, but also doubles as memorial of the life of Confucius. Considerable amounts of information is provided (including in English), detailing the life and work of Confucius, who could possibly be described as the Eastern equivalent of the Wests Plato and Aristotle. This is a place that takes considerable time to truly appreciate.... More

This is a great temple located next to some other temples. This location is always closed early by about 3pm and never open on holidays. A very large temple in the near middle of the city.

The temple itself is very impressive. However, there are many sections to the temple where they provide English translations of the various aspects of his teachings. Some are interactive and quite engaging. I was fascinated by the teachings of mathematics which included more than just numbers. They were measuring land areas, doing profit and loss and return on investment calculations.... More

Very impressive visit to the temple. It was FREE. Walked and looked at all the Interactive displays that had been updated a few years back with lots of computers screens describing all the history, Two(2) 15 mins movies in their theater, and lots of re created art and musical instruments to view

If you have some time to spare, I recommend visiting this temple rather than the more popular temples that are packed with tourists. It was definitely a more enjoyable and enriching experience.

Another good place to see. No entrance fee, free calligraphy of your choice and free 4D animated presentation. Comparing it the Confucius Temple in Nanjing, Nanjing has a lot of monument.
