If you want to try a Taiwanese food or even invented food! this is the place! Highly recommend for the cocktail shrimps, bubble tea, cuttlefish, and shredded ice bubble milk tea! It's all superb. Not recommended to eat the big meal at a time. Better to have finger foods along the way and you will be able to enjoy more... More

This is world famous because it has earned it. There are so many streets and small alleyways with small to medium sized retail shops that it rivals most malls. Mixed in with these shops are hundreds of eating establishments...from street stands only to stands with a few nearby open air tables to small and medium sized restaurants. You can get... More

Well, if you do enjoy those process food like Taiwan sausages, fish ball, and those heavily seasoned food. This is the place. I will say is not very stroller friendly, going there with small kids is not that convenient. Places that offer table and chair for children to eat are very limited. Fruits stall are the most expensive compare to... More

MRT Jiantan station is the nearest for the Shirin-night market. Many food and drink shops, game shooting etc. you will have a good time in Taipei. Very famous Pepper rice ball , along the market street, very good taste. In front of the pepper rice ball shop, you will find a tea shop, very bitter and blue-grass tea flavored peppermint.... More

Not easy to navigate around. Can get quite confusing. It was raining when I was there..couldn't find many choices of food. There is an underground food court but all the stalls kinda sell the same things. Shops mostly sells apparels. Personally i prefer Ximending.

We visited the night market at 5pm and most of the stalls have already started. The food there lacks in variety and quality, relative to that of Japan, similar to the ones in Thailand. As the best in Taipei, Shilin Nightmarket is a bit of let-down.

The market itself is OK, just basically merchants trying to sell you stuff that you can find in stores. You could come here and try some of the food vendors which is a great way to try a bunch of street food without running around town trying to find them.

The food sort of squicked me out. There were octopus/squid on a stick, and rolled into balls with breaking, and quite a bit of sea food that wasn't already made into fillets, but had eyes and so on. But then there was a mango frozen confection that was really great.

Lively market, food and non food. Also some entertainment with darts and balloons. Sad that there was also a mini man made pond where people try to scoop terrified guppies with a small net for twd20 a go. Food choices are the broadest from sweet, salty to savoury. A sight for the senses. Note that you should get off at... More
