Lovely zoo

I had a great day at the zoo. The animals were diverse, the grounds clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and it was very easy to travel there by the MRT.

This was my first visit to Taiwan and upon recommendation from TripAdvisor, my sister and I decided to go to the zoo while in Taipei. It was a beautiful zoo and we couldn't believe the very inexpensive price for admission to such a large zoo. We took half a day to do it by walking the whole park and all... More

An easily assessable place by metro and entrance fees are very cheap. There's a few simple eateries inside including MacDonald. You can take shuttle to visit the zoo from one end to the other but there's no stopping in between for you to visit the individual sectors. Covering the park entirely on food is quite tiring. But it's an enjoyable... More

Visited Taipei Zoo and had a great time (other than the fact that it was raining throughout). Be prepared to walk for a few hours if you want to cover all the zones in the zoo. Also, do plan to visit Maokong as well, it's worth the ride up the Maokong Gondola (there's a station at the end of the... More

Certain cage have no animals. No Live show. Very big Zoo and you expected to walk. The train will take you to certain place for a short distant only. Not Ideal for small children who are tiring travelling whole day.

The zoo provides a eclectic mix of fauna from aroung the world with special Panda and koala houses. I personally found the fauna native to Taiwan most interesting and informative. Good multi lingual signage helped emensely. Using by MRT Easycard for entry was a bonus.

Can only compare this to the San Diego Zoo as that's the only other zoo I've in the past couple years. It's not as big but easy to navigate. Animals are healthy and good size

Great day out. Lots of animals to see including my favourites, the panda and the gorilla. The areas are all signposted and not too spread out so you will get to see all the animals on your visit. The enclosures are excellent.

I was impressed by this zoo. It is Big, clean and relax. We spent 3.5 hours and did not manage to see all of the sections as it was closing... Animals seem very well treated and you can admire very rare species. Also the price is crazy: 60 NTD which is more or less 1.8€!! I will definitely visit it... More

Zoo is well organized and designed for leisurely visit. Except for the little kids (and there were many on a Wednesday!). Since it is located on a hill, I suggest you pay the 5 NTD cost for the shuttle to the top and walk back toward the entrance (it is just over 1 Km). Many animals on view although, depending... More
