This place is huge and features numerous animals. Good for families and kids. It was very accessible by train, Taipei Zoo station. It was not very crowded as I went on a weekday morning.

I loved the train ride and cable car ride! The animals are super cute, it was a very fun day for my friends and I. It's clean and the animals look happy. And of course, you can see the pandas!

I visited Taipei many times and went to different places. Taipei Zoo is the place we always go each time. The place is big with a lot of animals. My kids love this place and the admission is only $2 USD!!!

I would not recommend this. it makes more sense to visit zoo first and take a break at maokong. most likely you'll spend at least half day in zoo. Then you take gondola up to Maokong, find a nice tea house and enjoy sunset... More

hi! just take the MRT. Much cheaper and stops just a few 100 meters from the zoo. I took the Gondola on the way back just for fun otherwise you can certainly take the MRT back too.
