Think of a small suburb with lots of different camera stores. You'll find most digital cameras and accessories in this area. All spread within close walking distance. As I am a very passionate camera enthusiasts, I found it amusing to see all these shops. There would be about 20+ different shops here. This would be a good place to go,... More

If you are looking second hand or film cameras or very chip prices - it is not the place. In Taiwan all chip and secondhand is on the web with quite fast shipping. The place is nice and you have plenty of shops with most known brands such as Sony, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus and etc... Only one shop there... More

Variety of choices from hundreds of stores in camera street. I was looking to buy go pro session, checked like 7 diff stores but the prices are just the same like in the malls with the exception of 1 store that is NT$100 lower. I say it is still cheaper to purchase it online.

Great selection of shops where you can buy literally EVRYTHING related to photography, action sport and just electronics. Great place to see, unfortunately closes quite early and is not working on Sunday.

There are a lot of camera stores here. If you are a photographer and want to browse some equipment, then come have a look. Otherwise, for the average traveler I would recommend passing on this.

Not all shops are the same, I visited a couple shops where the employees were more concerned about using their phones rather than making a sale. However I did find a shop that I return to time after time. They always take the time to explain any photography questions you may have and best of all their employees are not... More

Perhaps it is because I went on a Monday. Most shops were closed. In any case, most are distributors with little retail interest. Which means sell in bulk and few brands only. Shops are not well displayed so you have to be able tell whoever that ask you precisely what you are looking for. If you plan to browse and... More

I searched all over the place trying to find film before I knew about camera street. There are plenty of places to get film. The film selection is not over-the-top (I wasn't able to find Velvia or 4x5 format) so in general it is not geared to the professional, but perhaps if you look hard enough there is a shop... More

Im now building my gear and trying to complete it (maybe never). I found a lot of small things I needed like various sizes of lens cap, filters, developing kits for film, adapters and many more I walked every corner every street and loved it. Used bodies are very expensive compared to Philippines but better quality. Films are affordable and... More
