Price of pineapple cakes in this shop is relatively lower than other famous shops (around NTD540 for 36 cakes) but the quality is surprisingly above average. It is not too buttery or loose in texture, and the sweetness is about right. Fruit fibres can be identified when you chew the cake open. A hidden gem for souvenirs in Taiwan.

We tried a few different versions of the Taiwan pineapple cake, but these retro looking versions not only look the best, they are 'off the hook' tasty, with a real fresh pineapple flavour inside and yummy crumbly shortbread on the outside. Also, they're very well priced and they wrap them in red paper for you at Chinese New Year, making... More
