Not that crowded (perhaps it was a bit drizzling), not that big with better good food and we can have a seat while enjoying the food. The one that captured me was the Taiwan tea, we filled up the cup by ourselfes and put it in a lid plastic machine. Usually, when we buy a cup of black tea, the... More

This is a local night market that is a bit of walk from Ximen Station, so it was definitely less crowded. It might be easier to take a cab or bus instead (local bus at MRT station: 12, 30, 47, 204, 212正線, 223, 249左線, 249右線, 250, 253左線, 268, 281) We tried food from 好佳蚵嗲 Haojia Orh Teh (must try the... We found fabulous sea food at t this market. The people were so friendly and helpful. This is a smaller night market, it a has all types of food and some shopping. It was a great cultural experience and not at all touisty with no westerners, only locals. We loved it and would highly recommend.

Living in the neighborhood, I come to this night market almost every week. Unlike most of the other night markets in Taiwan, nearly every store here has been in businees for 20 to 30 years. They survive for such long time because they serve the best food! I believe it is very difficult to find a better place with so... More

In the entrance of this night market, there is a store with long queue, they are famous for chicken rice. Limited seats available, therefore we bought take away and enjoy it in hotel room instead. Few stores behind, a fresh juice store also good.

Tucked to one side off a main road near my hotel I landed up here famished after a long flight and a hotel who offered me pineapple cake and a coffee..... nice pineapple cake I'm sure but I wanted food. This is a local market and small compared to the monster that is Shilin NM. Now, I speak no Chinese... More
