Dangerous for women travelers, not an official tourist attttaction
Dec 2019 • Family
Don’t go to this place!!! Very risky for tourists especially if you have a teenage daughter with you.

The caretakers’ family will extort Baht200 per person as this is a private land for junked airplanes. You are considered trespasser if you didn’t pay up and entered the place.

My teenage daughter was almost attacked by the son who seems to be high in drugs or mentally disturbed. Luckily my husband is with us who saw the boy’s action and stopped us from entering the place. His mother was struggling to stop him from getting near my daughter. Thank God nothing bad happened to us because we backed out and the mother returned our money.

Even if we were accompanied by our Thai driver who translated for us, it is still dangerous to go especially if they know you are a tourist.

Place itself is not safe as there are lots of grass so snakes maybe crawling too.

VERY BAD PLACE
Oct 2019
Without a doubt this place should be closed down. The squatters that extort people to trespass are very rude. If you speak Thai you will find out what I mean. Definitely not worth the effort. After being talked to and about by the squatters there we opted not to go....I recommend the same for you...

Great for photo shooting
Nov 2019 • Couples
We had a very nice trip from Bangkok center by boat (20 Baht) to the airplane graveyard. It took us about 50 Minutes to get there. They charge 200 Baht per person. We were completely alone one that place and could do whatever we want. No rules no restrictions. We climbed everywhere. So much fun and great photo shooting!

ok for people who is nearby
Jan 2019
This location is so far away from the city. And also on the way to and back from there, the traffic was so bad. It took us around 2 hours of traveling even with taxi. So it would be good if you are staying near by this place. and also you will need to pay for entrance fee to local.

To visit is to support

It’s occupied by the junkies and homeless. To get in to the place you have to pay them money up to their request.

Interesting for some

Interesting for certain people. If you're into planes, or if you've come across the site in a novel (e.g. by Barry Eisler), you will enjoy this. I fit into both categories so particularly enjoyed 30 minutes or so here. Happy to pay the 200 baht to get in. The family looking after the site (you should read about the history of the place before you go) just let you do your own thing. Best to wear long trousers and good shoes for walking in dirt and climbing. The canal journey to get there is interesting too (don't sit next to the window).

Funny...

If you have seen everything in Bangkok, try this spot.
Now, some would say: Why visit a junkyard when there are so many other beautuful places to visit?
This is another spot you visit, when you have seen all other stuff. Just kill some time here...
We came here by boat on the Klong Saen Saep, which was nice and interesting, and from the boat pier it's a 5 minutes walk to the plane graveyard. If you're unsure, show a pic of the place to the local sellers at the pier, they will point you in the right direction.
Entrance is 200,- Baht per person, foreigners and Thais pay the same price. At least this was my experience when I showed up.
So, what's to see there: junk, junk and more junk. You can enter the plane wrecks, nobody will stop you, but beware of sharp edges and don't trip over a piece of junk, and watch your head when you're exploring inside the wrecks. And, of course, it's dirty inside...
Give it a try when you've seen everything, if you spend only 3 days in BKK, there's much better stuff to see.

Off the beaten track option

Really enjoyed this - the journey there was quite cool as well if you employ the Khlong ferry and get off at Wat Sri Bunruang (end of the line) from there it’s just a short walk to the allotment with the airframes. Good photo ops and as I said, if you use the ferry it’s a cheap and fun half day activity.
