Went to check it out today, 17Feb22. Family there not letting anyone in. I had read that people paid to gain entry, but this wasn’t even an option. Perhaps the gov cracked down during covid? Still got some great pics tho :)

If you have seen everything in Bangkok, try this spot.
Now, some would say: Why visit a junkyard when there are so many other beautuful places to visit?
This is another spot you visit, when you have seen all other stuff. Just kill some time here...
We came here by boat on the Klong Saen Saep, which was nice and interesting, and from the boat pier it's a 5 minutes walk to the plane graveyard. If you're unsure, show a pic of the place to the local sellers at the pier, they will point you in the right direction.
Entrance is 200,- Baht per person, foreigners and Thais pay the same price. At least this was my experience when I showed up.
So, what's to see there: junk, junk and more junk. You can enter the plane wrecks, nobody will stop you, but beware of sharp edges and don't trip over a piece of junk, and watch your head when you're exploring inside the wrecks. And, of course, it's dirty inside...
Give it a try when you've seen everything, if you spend only 3 days in BKK, there's much better stuff to see.

Hearing "Airplane Graveyard" originally I thought this would be a legit tourist attraction. Upon arriving this is a private families lot with a few (four I believe) old aircraft sitting around. They charge 200 BHT (which is currently $7.83 CAD) per person. This is definitely worth it.

They allow you to walk around on your own and explore these creepy aircraft. I walked into the 747, up the ladder and into the flight deck. That alone was worth the entry.

You would spend on average 30 minutes here. Is it worth it? 50/50 but I got the chance to take cool pics!

One other tourist tried to jump the fence so he didn't have to pay. The family who lived there quickly came out, started yelling at him and told him to get off their property. He offered them 100 BHT but they declined and continued to yell at him.

Just pay the 200 BHT - the family who lives here looks like they can really use it.

nice asertivity test :) Nice airplanes but there are people taking 200bath per person for something which is not theirs, i dont supporte this kind of ilegal business... so i came from back side- no fecne, its easy way. When they saw me, old rude woman was 10minutes yelling "go away go away", after some time she stopped ;-) nice asertiviti test;-) those people are not "poore locals" they abuse lots of turist paying for this not theirs attraction that they make probaly lots of money compared to other really poor people in thailand

It’s occupied by the junkies and homeless. To get in to the place you have to pay them money up to their request.

Pay 200 baht to enter and then the men will unlock the gate. (ENTRANCE is at the NO TRESPASSING sign) Once you are in, you cannot get out until the men unlock the padlock.

No time limit, no access to any thing but junk airplanes.

Just a junkyard, unkempt. Enter at your own risk. Not recommended for females travelling solo, 2 or 3.

They are removing the remaining scrap metal now it might already be gone.
It never was a museum it was supposed to have become a bar but that never happened.
It really ought to be deleted from the lists

Don’t go to this place!!! Very risky for tourists especially if you have a teenage daughter with you.

The caretakers’ family will extort Baht200 per person as this is a private land for junked airplanes. You are considered trespasser if you didn’t pay up and entered the place.

My teenage daughter was almost attacked by the son who seems to be high in drugs or mentally disturbed. Luckily my husband is with us who saw the boy’s action and stopped us from entering the place. His mother was struggling to stop him from getting near my daughter. Thank God nothing bad happened to us because we backed out and the mother returned our money.

Even if we were accompanied by our Thai driver who translated for us, it is still dangerous to go especially if they know you are a tourist.

Place itself is not safe as there are lots of grass so snakes maybe crawling too.

We had a very nice trip from Bangkok center by boat (20 Baht) to the airplane graveyard. It took us about 50 Minutes to get there. They charge 200 Baht per person. We were completely alone one that place and could do whatever we want. No rules no restrictions. We climbed everywhere. So much fun and great photo shooting!

Interesting for certain people. If you're into planes, or if you've come across the site in a novel (e.g. by Barry Eisler), you will enjoy this. I fit into both categories so particularly enjoyed 30 minutes or so here. Happy to pay the 200 baht to get in. The family looking after the site (you should read about the history of the place before you go) just let you do your own thing. Best to wear long trousers and good shoes for walking in dirt and climbing. The canal journey to get there is interesting too (don't sit next to the window).
