I've been to all the major parks in and around Bangkok and this is perhaps the least impressive. The center of the park is nicely groomed, but the actual walking area is much smaller than I expected. There are cars driving everywhere as the majority of the park area is taken up by a network of roads. Also, their canals... More

I visited Phutthamonthon for no reason but I got a lot of things. The large standing Buddha attracted me with its beauty like a magic. The scenery was so wonderful in every space. Moreover, it can be both religious place and park for exercising.

This Buddhist park is set among beautifully tended gardens where one can leisurely take a walk or ride a bike. A huge bronze statue of Buddha dominates the park at the centre. There is plenty of parking if you drive there. The topiary sculptures of elephants and other animals are delightful. Take a picnic and just enjoy the serenity.

This is a Buddhist park and the site of the world's tallest standing Buddha. The huge park here is landscaped with sculptures of stages of Buddha's life. Ceremonies are held here for Buddhist religious festivals. Located 30km away from Bangkok in Nakhon Pathom province, it is certainly worth a visit. Have a picnic and spend some relaxing time there.

This park is huge and is a major religious and simply leisurely place to hang out on a Sunday afternoon. There are many things to walk around, or you could just chill out by a mini lake and read a book. No entry or park fee associated. Also, as I believe it to be the statue n the middle is... More

This massive city park built around the tallest (and reputedly the fourth largest) statue of Buddha in the world, is (really) head and shoulders above all others in the Bangkok area. Drive the fifty minutes to see it, and bring a picnic, your bicycles (or rent them there), your fishing gear (which can be rented too), and your camera. This... More
