I was looking for things to do in Bangkok and saw that this was near to where I was staying do I decided to check it out, I wasn't dissappointed but there are various ways they could improve the tour. Generally I understood a lot of what the tour guides were saying but I can imagine many would really struggle.... More

Large exhibition facility with more or less permanent displays on Thai culture and history and revolving contemporary exhibits, often including thematic focus from Southeast Asian countries.

The exhibition provides 2 tours, 2hrs each. I joined both so I spent 4 hrs there and never got bored. It tells the history and stories about Bangkok Rattanakosin area with multiple media. English guide system is provided. Very fun!

We spend 6 hours here. Make sure you have enough time because the two routines don’t always stick to each other in the schedule, so sometime you have to wait for the second routine after you finished the first one.The exhibition was the best I have ever been to in my entire life. They have a TRUE COFFEE inside the... More

The concept is great and supposed to give you an overview about Thai history and culture in an interactive way. Main problem is that making the tour in a group with a guide - with quite limited English level - provided by the museum is mandatory. Unfortunately this means you are getting rushed from room to room. At the reception... More

This is not a quick visit - wanted to get that out first. Visitors must go with one of the guidees provided, and the tour - while free - takes close to 3 hours start-to-finish. For anyone interested in learning about Thai history and culture, the Rattanakosin Exhibition centre's numerous interactive displays are a good place to start. Good for... More

The place and building are really nice but the contents inside are not that interesrting for me ,because maybe I am a native that knows some of the history already. The staffs are great they know deeply what they are well-trained and know what they are talking about deeply.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
