Amarin Plaza is a small mall attached to an office tower. The ground floor anchors are McDonald's and Starbucks. (go figure). The top floor, I think the 4th, is a huge food court. In between is not much although they seem to be trying to kick things up with some new stores and shops. On the ground floor, they have low priced market place of clothing. There is easy access from the BTS skytrain platform. As a tourist, there is no reason to run here, MBK has a much larger selelction of stores and low prices.

Massive renovation and now known as Gaysorn Amarin. Complete with new Louis Vuitton store, LV exhibition, LV cafe, LV + Gaggan restaurant. Supermarket and other shops still under renovation. Will it be as great as Siam Paragon? No, too small and even the LV store is tiny

I went to Karnkar massage place. It was really good! Quiet and good quality massage; perfect for tired legs after shopping. So good I went twice. The masseuse are professional and don't ask you for tips like some other places do. I did give them a tip because I was so happy with the service but it's up to you.
Also try Nail City, also on the same level as the skybridge. Professional and clean. It's a popular place with expats so appointments are highly recommended.

This is the place to go if you want authentic, hand crafted souvenirs in Bangkok. There are a variety of sellers in the Thai Craft Center on the 3rd floor including but not limited to silversmiths, pewter, gems & minerals, clothing, wood carvings etc. The items sold here are all quality unlike what you will find at MBK or other tourist areas which for some reason are much busier. At Amarin you will shop in air conditioned and uncongested comfort. The mall is conveniently connected to the Chit Lom BTS (metro) station by way of an elevated and covered skywalk which also extends to the Central World mall and beyond to the Siam BTS (metro) station. The mall is also about a 5 minute walk to the Erawan Shrine which is also worth a look. We purchased some jade and antiques at very reasonable prices and given the location in the mall were surprised that there was room to barter. We also found the sellers we dealt with to be friendly, fair and good in understanding and speaking english. We went to some outdoor markets in the area which were hot and overcrowded and we went to MBK which is full of tacky souvenirs (and tourists). Amarin outshines them for souvenirs, crafts and art by far! The mall also has a large foodcourt serving mostly Asian dishes and a McDonalds and Starbucks on the main floor to satisfy your cravings for western fare. There are also lots of other clothing and other stores in the mall which we only briefly explored but we would highly recommend the craft/souvenir center to all! It is well worth a visit!

Amarin Plaza located near Chidlon Bts station,4 Faces Maha Brama statue and Grand Hyatt Hotel. It’s easy to find place on Sukhumvit main road. Usually it’s not very crowded there. But I got some branded and luxury goods promotion sales time there was different. Fortunately I got many brands such as Lacoste,Nike and more got very cheap brand sales promotion price. Most shops from upstairs such as hiking and mountaineering equipment were very quiet and staff looked like sleepy with not very friendly. But ground floor spots shoes and suits sellers were very friendly. Also have many restaurants, coffee shops and snacks shops there.

The shopping mall is nothing interesting but the good court on the fourth floor has the best somtum (green papaya salad) and fried rice that I can find. Simple and cheap food.

I live in Bangkok & have come to this salon exclusively for the last year -- have had to seek medical treatment for 2 nail fungus infections in my big toe :(
Never in my life had any infections until now -- so be forewarned. I cannot go back there anymore.

There are a couple of small factory outlets here (Jaspal, Ninewest), including a good handmade leather shop on the ground floor. The prices are reasonable, not exactly cheap, but you get to do your shopping away from the crazy crowds but still right in the middle of town. Shopping in Bangkok is not good value anyway (i.e. quality vs cost) - anything that's of middling to high quality is priced better in Singapore (and where there is also a better selection of brands). At the shops here, you get quality with prices that are very slightly cheaper than what you'd get in Singapore.
Good manicurist (Nail City) on level 2 - total OPI shop. A bit pricey but worth the money. I see a lot of Thai professionals visit this one.
I absolutely DO NOT recommend the Chalochol hairdresser on Level 2. I read that it's a reputable chain and I decided to take a risk. This is like a factory specialising in mass producing haircuts, even though it appears like a luxury hair salon. They send you straight to the hair wash without looking at your dry hair first and asking you what you want done with it. Although they have a good level of English, you can tell they don't give a hoot about your hair at all. I was asked a couple of times while my hair was still wet, and half cut, 'is this ok?' And I'm like, I don't have my glasses on right now and my hair is wet - I can't see anything? I'm usually willing to pay two times more than the 550 baht I paid, so luckily it wasn't a lot to lose but it's definitely not worth the money.

Amarin Plaza is close to Chitlom BTS and lots of shopping malls. It has a few interesting shops and I want to single out a shop which sells 100 % cotton garments including dressing gowns, pants and shirts, socks and underwear. Everything looks and feels like good quality and prices are fair. I recently stocked up with clothes for family and friends and look forward to going back on my next trip to buy up things for myself. There is another shop here which sells vintage looking cotton nightwear but I am talking about the shop selling what they call Green cotton from Thailand. Knowing about these shops that sell product that is different from the same same stuff you see everywhere, might help shoppers come home with a longer lasting and better quality garment and not having paid too much for it. Give it a go , some may like, some might not. It is on second floor opposite tourist information shop.
