We're from Alberta and my wife goes out running in the evenings after dark...and joins hundreds of others in this gem of a downtown park. She's safe, well-lit and enjoys running past the basketball courts, lake, workout areas and watching the vast range of people. I've walked around the park a few times and enjoyed it immensely...there should be more... More

It is one of Bangkok's few green areas, surely importnt for citizens and the air quality. But it is only a park surrounding a small artificial lake.

If you have an hour to spare then worth taking a walk around this park. Some quirky sculptures around and also areas for the kids to be entertained.

Calm, family friendly. There were places for exercise, kids' playhouses, a small lake. Lots of trees to sit under.

Use this often to allow little ones somewhere to burn off energy. Perfect if your cobdo/hotel has no play area. Right next to phrom Phrong BTS and the waterfall feature in the shopping mall over the other side of sukhumvit Rd. Amazing outdoor pool for members and memship fee is only a few baht. Need medical certificate (easily & cheaply... More

Staying in Sukhumvit

Neighbourhood Profile
With a mix of shopping malls, hip bars and food stalls lining both sides of Thailand’s longest road, you’ll rarely encounter a dull moment along Sukhumvit. While the main road itself doesn't offer a lot in terms of entertainment, it's the adjoining 'sois' (alleys) where the magic happens. Popular spots are soi 11 for a lively night out, soi 4 for naughty nightlife and soi 21 for world-class shopping at Terminal 21. It's hard to cover everything this area has to offer in on day, so be sure to take your time. Sukhumvit is heavily congested with traffic during day and night, so getting from A to B is most convenient using the BTS Skytrain right above it.
