About
This long-standing market in Bangkok is a shopping haven for bargain hunters. Take a stroll through the alleys and marvel at all that's on offer—rolls of textiles, clothing and footwear, and even handmade crafts. There are even inexpensive laptops and cameras on offer for gadget lovers. Remember to brush up on some basic Thai phrases before you go—you might be surprised at the extra discounts or freebies you can score! Buying in bulk is often a lot cheaper too. It's a popular stop on many city tours and food tours of Bangkok, so go in the early afternoon when the shops are fully stocked. – Tripadvisor

- ambxdextrousSingapore, Singapore164 contributionsGood dealsNormal bustling outdoor market, with better deals compared to the malls around it such as Platinum or Palladium malls. Highly recommended to go. Good number of shops selling Muslimah clothing as well.Visited November 2023Written 13 November 2023
- EmmaBangkok, Thailand29 contributionsHeaven for shopaholic! The best place to buy clothes. Many clothing shops are there and a lot of design for man and woman. You can buy the latest design also but too crowded. And you will feel hot while shopping. Pro tip! Started buying from 3 pieces, if so you can get the wholesale price!Visited February 2024Travelled soloWritten 13 March 2024
- Mangesh J322 contributionsGood mall and street shoppingGood place to shop clothes and few toys. Indian restaurants available nearby in Indra market, just 700 mtrs away. Mall gets closed by 8 pm. Just cross the road of mall and there is Indra local street shopping. Good for wholesale shopping. If you are there for tour, must visit place. You can exchange money here also.Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 26 March 2024
- Balasubramanian RChennai (Madras), India808 contributionsBangkok night marketPratunam Market is one of the busiest night market. We went to this market and it is nearer to the hotel we stayed. All types of items are available and we bought few dresses and gift items. We have to bargain and they are reducing little price.Visited December 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 12 April 2024
- PierreFrance66 contributionsWholesale marketIf you are finding for wholesale market, it will be the best choice! A lot of clothing shops and you can choose whatever you like, men, women and child fashions, everything can get with the wholesale price. But too crowded and too hot. If you are thinking about shopping to this place, I recommend to wear slippers.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 26 May 2024
- Ko27 contributionsTypical night market in Bangkokvery similar to other night markets in Bangkok. loud and busy with customers and sellers on the road. On the narrow road bikes and Tuk-tuks are keep coming and going. My son said it looked not clean but we had a few kinds of street food with cheap price. We went there at night but still hot and humid, cannot imagine how bad for day time.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 26 July 2024
- Owen22 contributionsMy favourite clothes market in Thailand.Pratunam (Pra-tu-nam) market is the best market in Bangkok for cheap clothes and souvenirs. The day and night market are slightly different locations but a few mins walk from each other. You’ll find the best prices here from all over Thailand. Food options are available but more limited so if you are going mainly for food then choose another market. I rate this market over Chatuchak weekend market. Chatuchak is bigger but Pratunam is still huge. Grab yourself a bargain, don’t forget to haggle although the starting prices here are much better than elsewhere. Other markets to try are; Jodd fairs - for food Wang lang - for a local experience of a wet market (but be prepared for this one) And many others you’ll find along the way.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 28 July 2024
- JJao9 contributionsA lot of clothesA lot of clothes. You should have all day to shop. Don't expect to be here for just 1 or 2 hours. It can be quite hot so a hand fan will help. Of course, there were lots of people and cars. You shouldn't wear sandals. If you're hungry, you can find a restaurant on the side of the road to eat. The taste isn't bad, but some things are a bit pricey.Visited August 2024Travelled soloWritten 8 August 2024
- Sarah LLondon, United Kingdom3,558 contributionsOverwhelmingThis market will albeit be it extensive can be very overwhelming for visitors. It occupies a large outdoor space and has a host of clothing stores in particular on offer. There are also some food options with limited choices and limited seating in comparison to other markets.Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 August 2024

DO go early in the morning like 6-7am. Cos the place can be very hot and stuffy.
This trip there didnt't really plan to do much shopping. but notice that items are getting more expensive and items are very much limited. Most of them selling the same items and many only prefer wholesale and will mark up double when you want to buy small quantity.

Oh this place is amazing, I was there 2 weeks ago and I still think about this market, everything is cheap. I'm going back I think tomorrow. For ladies who want to buy full lace wigs at affordable prices this is your place.

Pratunam market here Only cheap items Inside there is a shop selling beautiful patterns and general accessories. But rarely have food I went to buy 2 shirts. And walk to the red light intersection where there is food to shop for chicken rice Which tastes good It is greasy and eaten with rice and soup. Goes together very well, the price is cheap. I ate 2 dishes. Very full. You should go for a walk before eating. Otherwise you will have to pacify the stomach for sure.

Busy market all day and evening. Selling mostly clothing. In the day mostly wholesale so 3 items of the same to get cheap price. Has places to eat and street food . Only 1bar as far as I can see. Lots of Indians and Africans in this area. Can get crowded in the small alleys in the indoor market and very hot.

Cheap buys ranging from THB50 and above. There are shops in the building winding in a spiral, then there are more outside along the streets. Most are wholesale where it gets cheaper when you buy more, but sometimes even for single piece, the prices are cheap too. Don't expect quality. Toilets in the building are decent (a little dim but reasonably clean), doesn't provide toilet paper though.
Crowded, not for the claustrophobic.

We went around 5 pm, not so warm and it was walkable and easy to shop.
Enjoyed the lively environment.
Managed to get few good bargains.
Although the main market was already closed, we toured the stalls along the main road.
Enough to ignite the shopaholics in us.

Pratunam Market includes shopping complexes and maze of alleys. They are filled with thousands of tiny shops selling fashion wear and accessories in wholesale. Sometimes, the prices are cheaper than Chatuchak Weekend Market.

This mall is not what it used to be. Most of the goods are of poor quality and the prices are high, and there is nothing special to push you to visit the mall. The only good thing about the centre is that the taxi drivers offer good deal to visit the floating market, and the elephant ride trip is cheaper than my hotel in terms of Siam malls.

Most of the shops in the mall will open. while some of the street shops around are closed. there will be enough stores that consume your whole day.
Enjoy your visit
