This is part of the temple complex of the Grand Palace and the Temple of Emerald Buddha. This golden stupa is said to contain the ashes of the Buddha and is therefore an important place of worship for Buddhists.

This stupa is certainly the stand out structure at the Grand Palace. It stands so high and is so golden, you also need to cover your eyes as the sun shines on the brilliant gold paint. It's a nice big Stupa that you see when you are going to the entrance at the Grand Palace. It can look very beautiful in the sunset light
