If you are around, walking for example from Khao San Road to Wat Suthat then you will pass this monument in the middle of a large roundabout. You can't come up too close to it and taking 2 or 3 photos will take you around...More

If you are in the area of the Monument than it is worth a visit. We enjoyed looking around the well maintained monument and then hopped onto the sky rail.

The memorial is considered mark 0 and all miles are calculated from this central location in Bangkok. Very dignified memorial to those who have served in past conflicts even though Thailand itself was generally not involved except as allied force to others.

A nice monument. However, one cannot get close to it. I would not really recommend anyone to commute an hour or two to just see this monument, as you would be disappointed.
