This visit to Chiang Mai, everything seems just a little bit less well cared for. I don't know whats behind it, but it is noticeable. The Aquarium is in Chaing Mai Zoo, but there is an additional cost to enter the aquarium. And, it actually costs more than the entry fee for the Zoo. This is my 4th visit and... More

I am really disappointed by this zoo, they have large elephants in a VERY small pens and offer for you to ride them. As any decent human knows, this is cruel and should not be done. It cost 150 baht to get into the zoo, however you have to pay for extras when you get in, 200 baht to see... More

For a small zoo we found the zoo to be well laid out with a larger than expected number of animals. However, we did object to them offering elephant rides and allowing people to touch and feed the elephants and giraffes with little to no supervision around. While we liked the general layout of the zoo, there are a lot... More

the zoo itself is huge in a very convenient location. however its pretty poorly managed. doesn't seem they take good care of the animals, very little animals for such a big place. go to the night safari instead.

Chiang Mai Zoo and Aquarium have some real challenges. It is ALL uphill and on the side of a mountain if you are walking. To ride the shuttle you have to wait 25 minutes in between stops. Half of the cages were empty. The moving sidewalk through the aquarium has NOT moved in ages. It is dirty and not well... More

This is well worth the money you pay ... All the tanks were clean and fish were healthy .. Got to feed the very large Koi outside with a baby bottle .. The walk through aquarium didn't have a working travelater, but still was excellent to be able to walk through.

Not really worth the combined ticket price with the zoo - especially since the zoo is so dreadful. The aquarium itself has seen better days - it has the obligatory tunnel but it looked really old. Honestly, just a few rocks in the water, dirty water and sad looking fish - if that's possible. The single stand alone tanks were... More

OK I,m not a zoo person but like aquariums. When this first opened I am sure it was spectacular. Now it is tired and needs a revamp. Slightly smelly, worn and stained glass. It is in my opinion expensive for what you get. Unless you kids are really into fish then give it a miss, you won't find Nero or... More

As a keeper of tropical freshwater fish, I really appreciated this aquarium. It's an excellent visit if you have any interest in freshwater fish. All the tanks are very well kept. Very interesting set ups and selection of species. 10/10
