Leave from the jetty at Wat Chai Mongkol and travel north out of the city. The river soon shows its true rural identity as city bridges pass from view and are replaced by scenes of wide water stretching from green tree-lined bank to bank. Kids play, daring each other to swing through an old motor tyre and plunge into the cool river below.Smiles,Yells,And the boat chugs on to reach its destination point, the "Thai Farmer's house "Agriculture remains Thailand's largest source of income and here the vistor can discover the basic elements-rice local herbs, fruits,fishing-all thriving in a chemical-free environment.

River is nothing spectacular, nonethelsss, it is nice to travel up river and see the change in scenery. Once at the farm, a small tour takes you round the home grown fruit, veg, herbs and spices. Our guide was very informative and the farm house...More

Did this with a morning to fill. 700B each with horse carriage. River is nothing special, brown and usual riverbank debris. Tour was ok, just old temple ruins and back to boat. 2hrs return to hotel door.

We went for the morning cruise which we thought will be with lunch at farmer's place but only pine apple was served. The cruise was ok with some nice teak houses, restaurants on the banks.

We had a pleasant two hours after a bit of a shambles at the start and half an hour late. They did deliver on what they promised with a nice ride up the river to the “farmers” house.
