The Ratchaphruek Flower Gardens are a must-see when visiting the Chiang Mai area. The expansive gardens are incredibly picturesque. Bike rentals are available and, for less active travelers, an electric bus is available to take you around.

This park is an incredible garden to visit, it is huge and when you first enter you think it might never end. It has changed quite a lot since its early days, although it is still quite an impressive place to visit. The site is very beautiful with many exotic plants and little gardens. In the centre of the park... More

This is a very large park with several distinct garden areas. There's a lot of ground to cover. The orchid garden is truly gorgeous. All around there are small touches that add to the beauty of it all. There is a tram to help get around and there refreshments, too. It's well worth a visit.

One of the best orchard collections I saw while in Thailand. The temple was breathtaking. Certainly worth the price

A little way out of town but well worth a visit to stroll around many theme gardens - orchid house (fantastic!), temperate house, bonsai, world gardens, butterfly house, ponds, a large pavilion....... Plenty to see. Relax with a picnic. Places to buy snacks and more. Enjoyed a very nice afternoon strolling and taking photos, especially the colourful orchids.

Beautiful day trip. They open at 8am. Go as early as you can. Better to see before the crowds and heat. Took an Uber there and a Red truck back. Use the free tram to go around once then take it back to the spots you want to check out. Best spots: Orchid garden, Butterfly exhibit and the palace.

We road bicycles there from where we were staying. To enter the Park it cost us 200 baht each plus an additional 20 baht each if you wanted to ride your own bicycle. We did, so it ended up costing us a total of 440 baht. Turns out that having a bicycle in the park is a huge bonus. You... More

A well manicured area with impressive 'international pavilions' which represent many countries from around the world. The Kings pavilion is a must see. The whole area is a credit to those it commemorates and to those who created and maintain it.

This park is a bit off the beaten path and one should take a taxi (about 30-40min). We spent 4 hours in the park as it far exceeded our expectations. Beautiful landscaping, wonderful orchid gardens, a very interesting exhibition about the king (makes one understand better why Thai people loved their King so much) and a replica of the palace... I went along December 2016 I didnt do any research on the park before I went. All I did was see it on Google maps and thought I would go and have a look. Once there I went in and found out you can either, walk around, cycle around or take a bus to get around the park. The bus stops... More
