The ZOO is really nice, you can take an open " hop on hop off mini bus" to go around the ZOO. It is worth the 30 B per person, especially if you travel with kids. You can also visit an aquarium (pay extra costs) and kids water park (also extra costs, but you pay for the kids only). The... More

Came here for the famous pandas. Luckily it was feeding time and both of them were awake. It was great to see them playing. Clean zoo.

Went to the zoo today. What a bargain at only $6 to get in. You have the option to purchase different packages. We got general entrance tickets 150 baht, tickets to see the pandas 100 baht and a hop on hop off bus ticket 30 baht. Make sure you get the bus. There is no way you would want to... More

The zoo is planned well while construction. It has buggy rides and shops for food, souvenir shops and other necessary stuffs. I visited the zoo during Jan end. There were very less animals. And we were in a rush. We did not see many animals. But since the zoo is inside the city, it is a must visit for people... More

Loved the zoo. The panda exhibit is fantastic. I have been to Africa on photo safari - so I don't visit many zoo's - this one was worth it.

The number of animals were minimal and kept in poor conditions. Avoid. The only interesting part was feeding some goats.

We were undecided to go or not to the chiang mai zoo but had a couple of hours to fill so off we went. It is certainly a large area which is quite hilly so the 30baht it costs for the hop on hop off bus is really worth it. The panda was the highlight but you do pay extra... More

It's all looking a bit tired and run down I'm afraid. Considering all the extra charges the property should be better maintained

Some exhibits are really very interesting for a zoo fan (exciting species such as flat-headed cat, serow, duk langurs, some local birds of prey). The panda house is rather nice. Most of the enclosures is clean and spacious with healthy animals. The distances between the exhibits may be difficult to walk so either come on your motorbike (or car) or... More

Being one that does not normally appreciate a zoo, I only went here to satisfy my 6 year old. How wrong was I- the animals looked happy and well fed and they all seemed to have plenty of space to keep healthy. Ok, it is accepted that they are in confinement but every animal we saw at least appeared to... More
