I used to spend more or less half of the year in Samui. Lamaï is for me the best in this island. Between Chaweng the most noisy and touristic place and the quiet of the south. After you chose 😊🙏🏻

We are looking for better beaches than chaweng. Chaweng and Lamai both have plastic in the ocean and washed up on the beach. No one bothers to clean this up, or even prevent it. The water in Thailand is crystal clear but it’s no fun...More

Lamai is similar to Chaweng, with shopping and nightlife being similar but in a smaller scale, there are no night clubs that we saw when there. The pubs and restaurants were great. I would recommend Lamai over Chaweng every day of the week, it offers...More

The beach was great but we were disappointed that there were so few options for dining on the beach. The restaurants are mainly along and just off the main drag which is quite busy. There are however plenty of good restaurants to choose from.

If you are looking for a place to relax and have a few milkshakes. This is the place, you could spend hours just winding down, relaxing.

Stayed on Lamai beach front for a week and whilst there were some nice restaurants and bars to enjoy the beach is filthy. Full of rubbish and stinks of sewage in places. The worst bit is the petrol/ oil. I didn't see it but both...More

Everything about this island spot is excellent from my point of view. I am though very disappointed about the daily cleaning of my feet from oil deposits left on the sand. I am also very saddened by the volume of plastics and rubbish discarded on...More
