Very traditional temple, with its own mummified monk. Worth while visiting if you want a far less touristy experience.

A bit quiet Buddha Temple. For 2 minutes walking distance from side entrance, there is a place to view brilliant sunset by the beach.

The Temple isnt so popular like for example Wat Khunaram, which makes the temple very special. Its very quiet and you can feel that there is something special in the air. You will get quiet calm and relaxed, or at least we were after a few minutes there. The mumified monk there is also worth visiting and not more or... More

Unpretentious and interesting...we stayed opposite the compound in the quiet village of taling gnam....the site has many buildings some with a need for care but that just adds to its charm..and check out the mummified monk🙏

We were travelling around Koh Samui by a motorcycle when we stopped here. It is quiet and authentic. If you are lucky a Buddhist monk will bless you and give you a lucky bracelet. If it happens don't forget to give a small donation. Please, take off your shoes, sunglasses or hat when you step into all temples in Buddhist... More

You don't find the western visitors here. In fact you don't find many visitors at all. The dear old mummified monk is more like an old friend now as we visit him every year. The wat is old and not fancy. There is a crematorium attached to the site, and there are memorials around the grounds. This year we visited... More

Dropped in on a drive around the island. It was really quiet we ere the only people visiting at the time. There is an English biography of the mummified monk, it was interesting to know about his life. The children described it as "weird but quite cool" and I would agree with them. Definitely worth a visit if you are... More
