The beach has been cleaned up from one end to the other. You may find the odd piece of garbage , i.c plastic bottle or bag but in context very clean. South Pattaya beach is disgusting. Have fun at Jomtien alot to do and see....More

If you for some reason decide to visit Pattaya other then being an sextourist this is the better beach of the two bigger ones. The better part starts were the main road turns and don't run along the beach.

A funky little shack just off the beach on soi 5 jomtien - it does have a name! Happy corner!! Coffee beans & healthy teas on tap - sip away & let jomtien slip on by - right in front of you!

I think the answer would be no, you can always just walk into the bigger hotels and take a chance.

The water is not rough but it's not the clearest water like you have other places since the beach is man made and not a natural beach. It's otherwise safe and a lot of kid swim there.
