Live Sport, Golf, Music & Much More As well as being one of the longest established bars in Pattaya the Sugar Shack Bar is also known as one of the friendliest. Popular with Tourists and Expat Residents, the Sugar Shack makes a great meeting point right in the middle of town. Just off Beach Road in the Centre of Pattaya. Live sports are shown on the TVs, we have a jukebox with a great selection of music and we run golf trips to many of the great golf courses in the area. All friends old and new welcome.

If you are new in town, want to play quality golf at the many golf courses in and around Pattaya and/or want to meet other golfers, you will do yourself a favor by making The Sugar Shack one of your first stops.
Worried about your game not being up-to-par with the regulars? Don't be. While there are some single handicappers - the average handicap is around 20-28. Golfing days are typically Monday, Wednesday, Friday; leaving at 0830 - returning around 1500. Minibus transport is provided, Tee-times are reserved. Just sign your name on the list in the bar for the day you want to play and 'We'll See You Tomorrow.'
The Sugar Shack's motto is 'A Friendly Game of Golf.' Absolutely no surcharges, mandatory participation fees or hidden costs. You will actually save money by playing on the Discount and Sports Days the various courses offer. Golf clubs and golf lockers are available for rent.
If you don't play golf, never mind. Saturdays are English Football Nights with all the big matches on the overhead monitors. Weekly matches are on the bar's notice board. You can play pool, and choose your own music on the Juke Box computer. You can order meat pies, stews etc... from The Shack's kitchen or order a meal brought to you from the surrounding eating establishments. Bring the wife and kids with you too - this bar is not a 'pick-up' joint.
I fumbled around Pattaya looking a place whose patrons had interests similar to mine for a year or so until I found The Shack. It's been My Place for golf and socializing now for over 20 years.
So, come on by and introduce yourself to Paul or Big John - the owners; Mike-the golf manager; me, or any of the guys there. You'll be glad you did.

I came by this bar twenty years ago to have a friendly game of golf and have been coming back ever since. Well run friendly and helpful staff and lots of fun.

Just a few blocks from Walking Street. It my not look like it but it's a great little sports bar. I went to watch American Football and UFC and they had no problem finding the events I was looking for.
The staff will order food for you or you can walk across the street for some great Italian food at Casa Fellini.

Run by a couple of Northern English guys. Very hospitable, especially when drinking together.good crowd for the TV sports. Run a golf club organising daily trips to the many Pattaya golf courses. Possibly the cheapest on offer in Pattaya, certainly the most VFM when you include the crowd of characters that play in the group

A really good quality place whether you just want a cold beer or to catch up on some sport.
The organised golf trips are brilliant visiting some stunning courses.

A great bar to relax in. Friendly staff. good location, nice bunch of customers and reasonable prices. All sports are shown on the big screen TVs. Also has a cracking jukebox, so you can select your own music while chatting with friends or playing a game of pool.

i play golf through this bar for two months each year in Thailand's winter. The staff are very friendly and always make you welcome each visit. The service is second to none, with no pressure placed on the customer to buy, buy, buy. The beer is reasonably priced, the large TVs always have the latest sports events playing, and if you want a meal, you can have it in the bar.
There is nothing like returning from a day's golf and having a cleansing ale or two with your golf buddies and discussing the day's high-lights.
I can certainly recommend Paul and his staff to look after you, and make your visit a pleasure.

The best golf bar for anyone who likes to play a game of FRIENDLY golf with NO extra charges. Golf club and locker hire is available at very reasonable rates. Everybody who plays golf here treats the bar as their LOCAL and can be found socialising until late in the evening.
