Don’t believe the photo I put up or the others.

Even though when you look out into the sea in front of you, you see beauty. It’s what’s in the water that disappoints.

We were having a beautiful time snorkeling and for some reason the crew we went with were in a rush to get us here. We got here and it was anything but the write up.

The water was full of rubbish (disgusting), the beach had rubbish on it, there were cigarette buts around the chairs.

Unless they clean up the beach and the water I would never recommend coming here

This island seemed a little disappointing after having been to Ratcha Island earlier in the day. For me it was too crowded and really quite dirty with lots of rubbish not being collected or taken away by businesses after people had long left the sunbeds.
The sea as nice as it looked was also much more choppy than the previous island so harder to relax in.

We enjoyed an Island tour on a Private Speed Boat. All this thanks to Bonfire Adventures. The tour guide was so professional. He picked us up on time and we enjoyed an exciting time. Then after that we enjoyed the day walking through the city, shopping and enjoyed the hotel.

This island is just 15 min away from southern tip of Phuket (Karon beach)...True to its name it has one of the best coral spots and beautiful marine life one can experience snorkelling and scuba diving...Would recommend taking water shoes due to sea urchins in the water though that could sting.....

I would suggest to skip this island as it's Average beach with lots of stone and rock, thus be careful and better to put on those snorkeling shoes to prevent injury unless the trip includes snorkeling. We booked the trip from Klook and the local guide is Sea of Dreams which there is no snorkeling as the guide said the coral was destroyed by Tsunami. The water at the beach is not too clear and nothing great. There are many people at the beach. Sea sports are expensive as mentioned by others like 800 baht for just a very very short para sailing ride, 1 minute. The same ride at Patong beach is much longer. The fruit smoothie costs 150 baht.

Its ok to visit but don’t expect to see any coral because it has all been destroyed. The activities on the island are very expensive. A 1 minute parasail will cost you 800 bhat. Yes 1 minute thats all you get. The beaches are nice its only really good to chill out there and nothing else. If you walk into the jungle of the island you will notice how filthy it is from the vendors that stay there. Overall its not worth going there. There are many other much better island to vist.

This is a beautiful island. I visited here about a week ago with my wife and my two sons who are 13 and 9. I would really recommend it.

Snorkelling around the island was fantastic and we saw a range of beautiful coloured fish. The waters are so clear and have a beautiful blue, and the sand is perfect. We also ate at the only restaurant on the beach which was okay but not great, but didn’t spoil the experience.

I thought I would write this review to help fellow travellers. The main thing I would say is to try and avoid getting scammed or taken advantage of by travel companies and the locals/drivers.

Firstly, I would advise you to do this yourself but even savvy travellers would need to ensure they do it properly. Rather than booking with a tour operator and paying through the nose, we did it ourselves, but even so had to be quite clever in how we did it.

Firstly, taxi drivers will probably want to stay with you all day so they can charge you a day rate. We downloaded an app called Bolt which is just like Uber. From Patong, it was therefore a cheap journey. Next, the long tail boat itself. The day previous, one of the captains had tried to charge us 2500 Baht to do the same trip (from Rawai) and on our return the day after we paid just 1500. This was for a few hours.

A couple of other captains we asked had said that we would have to pay extra for rental of snorkelling equipment, but the shops in Rawai charge extortionate prices (like £10 GBP for one snorkel set) because they take advantage and see you coming. We managed to negotiate with a captain who though he didn’t have snorkels at first, managed to run off for a couple of minutes and came back with four sets. This was therefore included in the price because he wanted our business and we played hard ball. Naturally, we gave him a good tip afterwards, but this was our choice because we knew we had paid a fair price to start with.

If you get to the drop-off point for taxis and then walk to the very end past all the shops and restaurants, go as far as you can and then it’s on the right. This is where we got our boat.

Hope this helps.

The Coral Island is heavily commercialised. With the whole activities that include Parasailing, Jet Ski, Banana Boat ride and Snorkelling, it takes a massive toll on the sea dwelling creatures.
The Thai Government should intervene here and ensure only 500-1000 people are admitted on a daily basis.
I wouldn't want a beautiful place like this end up being a 'It used to be beautiful One Upon a Time' place.

I took the Racha Island / Coral day tour via speedboat. After snorkeling at Racha we came to Coral for buffet lunch.

The beach is not very busy…one can easily get a beach deck chair and relax whilst having a cocktail (Long Island is my choice).

I also did parasailing here for 800 baath. Was a lot of fun. Just be warned ….they strap the harness pretty tight ( one could say if they quit this job …they could easily get another job at Olga’s House of pain).

One can also rent glass boats to paddle in the specified areas, as well as take a ride on the banana boat. Can also do sea walk and a few other things.
