We were picked up from our hotel by 2 young students who took us on a half day tour to the Hoa Lo prison and Temple of Literature. They spoke English very well and were quite knowledgeable about the local attractions. The only fee you pay is taxi fare for all of you (if needed) and entrance for the tour... More

We had an amazing half-day tour with Khánh Đào from HanoiKids. Her English was perfect and she was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about Hanoi and Vietnamese culture at large. After spending 4.5 hours with us taking us all over the city, she refused to take even a single penny from us as a tip, and encouraged us instead to keep... More

We booked two tours via e-mail with Hanoikids for our first day in Hanoi - a half-day tour to the Museum of Ethnology and an evening food tour. Hanoikids' response to our e-mail application was very quick - a reply on the day itself and by the next day, we had both tours confirmed. We were very privileged to have... More

We initially tried to book a street food tour with Hanoi kids before leaving home but such is their popularity they were fully booked. Fortunately while we were in Sapa they contacted us to say that there was a guide available in the evening on our return to Hanoi. Linh was brilliant, meeting us at our hotel and taking us... More

Really enjoyed the half day tour to the Temple of Literature and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum with Huyen and Shen. I liked the interaction with the local university students and they were able to offer another glimpse of the Vietnamese life. Not to mention, they had excellent English and answered all my queries patiently. *Not to be missed*

During a recent trip to Hanoi, my partner and I booked a street-food tour with HanoiKids. HanoiKids is a not-for-profit organisation, linking foreigners with Vietnamese students in Hanoi. Their tours are completely free and the best kept secret in Hanoi. We had a totally enlightening evening with Tung and Ling, two very enthusiastic university students. The guys took us to... More

We did a half-day tour and the street food tour in a row the same day. Vino and Minh picked us at the hotel, we took several taxis and visited the main point of interest of Hanoi. Then we did the street food. They have a really good English level. They are quite flexible and they adapt the tour to... More

We enjoyed our full day tour with HIen and Oanh. We spent a half day seeing temples and musuem, and a half day for street food walking tour in the Old Quater. And we had great experience. The 2 guides were so helpful and informative. Their English was perfect. We loved Banh mi and bun cha. The egg coffe was... More

We enjoyed the company of Amy and Barry for half a day to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Presidential Palace, One Pillar Pagoda and War Remnants museum. They were both fantastic and very knowledgeable about the city and history. Visiting these places without them would not have meant so much as they were able to inject true insight into... More
