We visited on lunar new year day so extremely crowded but this added to the experience. The pagoda is in a lovely setting by the lake with many bonsai trees. Well worth a visit .

It's a nice pagoda. There are lots of pretty bonsai trees and small koi ponds. No entrance fee but there is a donation box. There's a sign out front re: covering up shoulders and not wearing shorts; however, when we went there were several men...More

This is Hanoi's oldest pagoda on an island in the West Lake connect to the mainland. The location is very attractive and the pagoda and surrounding shrines are worth a visit.

I came upon this beautiful historical pagoda when out for a walk to explore the West Lake area of Hanoi. Apart from the architecture and history, I was taken by how carefully upkeep is done on this pagoda and surrounding buildings. Definitely worth a visit.

Another must do when in Hanoi, be aware of vast crowds though, very popular, early morning would be a good time.

We saw the temple on our tour. It doesn't take long to wander about on the grounds. The view on the lake is beautiful.

Situated on the shore of Westlake. Very busy with loads of tourist and locals. Lots of vendors outside with tiny water turtles in containers - didn't like that at all.

Best photos were taken here with this beautiful pagoda in the background. I am amazed at the bonsai grown on rocks. Enjoyed the scenery.

Covered as a part of the full-day guided city tour of Hanoi. Good to see the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam.
