Pretty pagoda and temple

A bit out of town but worth a visit to take in the atmosphere and surroundings with plenty of alters and a small but peaceful bonsai garden.

It's nice, but how do you actually rate a thing like this if you are not into it. Have you seen one, you have seen them all... sort of. The location is nice on the middle of two lakes in the middle of the city. Mind the heavy traffic though, don't do anything hasty - think "smooth".

I visited the pagoda near sunset, the color complexion and the lighting were so beautiful. Please don't wear revealing clothing during your visit.

A short stroll across a bridge takes you to the small pagoda, which has little tombs of monks buried there. What was different was the size as most pagodas are huge monuments. This was more 'tailor made' for the small community of religious worshippers.A walk ahead takes you to a Bodhi tree( apparently brought from India) where The Buddha meditated.... More

A beautiful walk along the lake brings you to this tranquil spot surrounded by water on three sides. Buddhist services are held here and many devotees come here to light incense and chant, which makes it a wonderful spot to center and calm oneself while touring the city. It's also free, but you can leave a donation in one of... More

Its a nice stop on the way to somewhere. The lakes are nice but the place itself is not unique and not very special in comparison to other places.

This Pagoda was first built on the banks of the Red River in the sixth century but was rebuilt on the present site in the seventeenth century due to river flooding. It is a fascinating Pagoda to visit even though it is not a large one. Due to its popularity it can get very crowded but do not be put... More

With 1,500 years of history behind it, Chua Tran Quoc is one of the most sacred places for Vietnamese Buddhists. It is set on a small island on Hanoi's West Lake. Built around 541-547, the temple was originally at Y Hoa village on the banks of the Red River. Sometime in the 17th century it was moved to its current... More
