Went with a guide and learned all the history of Confucius. Beautiful gardens and certainly worth a visit. Do read all the signs!

Interesting for a history lesson. Did not spend a lot of time. The statues were colorful as were the offerings. Chico pies?

Easy to get to. A quick 20 minutes to visit. I'd advise incorporating the "Hanoi Hilton" into this part of town as they are close by.

We went to the temple as part of a guided tour. Without the guide we would not have appreciated everything we saw albeit there are lots of informative English signs.

A visit to the temple provides a fascinating glimpse of the teachings of Confucius and a welcome calm space in the hectic pace that is Hanoi. We spotted delightful groups of school children, some little ones at their "graduation" wearing brightly coloured gowns and mortar...More

We spend maybe an hour here and took in the sights, taking a few photos as we ambled around. It is a really scenic temple and interesting too.

I had a wonderful experience but mostly because of the school children who were there. They were all wanting to practice thier English and were super cute and fun, giving high fives, saying hello, and other basics. All super darling.

Our visit coincided with students going to pray for success in their exams. This was most interesting. Not a Buddhist place of worship, but to Confucius.

I have always visited it earlier in the day and when I went pass it around 6pm it was closed. Your best bet is to schedule your visit a bit earlier in the afternoon and go for dinner around that area when you are finished... More
