We visited the temple on the graduation day of many Vietnamese students. The ladies were dressed in the traditional Ao Dai and the men in suits and were taking many, many photos of one another - very interesting to see!

Very interesting settings. The sculptures in the temple (at the end) are very interesting). We where lucky enough to run into "Graduation Day" and all the kids were dressed up taking pictures of each others-beautiful.
Lovely architecture, built in 1071, impressive... A perfect place to steal a couple of hours of peace from the chaos of Hanoi. Gave you an idea of the grace and tradition of that period, worth a visit.

I have always visited it earlier in the day and when I went pass it around 6pm it was closed. Your best bet is to schedule your visit a bit earlier in the afternoon and go for dinner around that area when you are finished. My family and I found it was a interesting walk, exploring around there.
