I recommend joining an organized tour of Hanoi so you get the most out of your visit.

Liked: It seemed to be some sort of graduation day and there were dozens of students all wearing suits and beautiful dresses. The buildings and Stelae were impressive. A good place for a picnic

We visited the temple on the graduation day of many Vietnamese students. The ladies were dressed in the traditional Ao Dai and the men in suits and were taking many, many photos of one another - very interesting to see! It would have been beneficial...More

Beautiful Confucian temple. You could spend hours here if you wanted to meditate in the gardens. There are some interesting gift shops by the main temple.

Very interesting settings. The sculptures in the temple (at the end) are very interesting). We where lucky enough to run into "Graduation Day" and all the kids were dressed up taking pictures of each others-beautiful.

Very relaxing, quiet place to visit. Also one of the only places you won't be hassled by street vendors. Very picturesque

Lovely architecture, built in 1071, impressive... A perfect place to steal a couple of hours of peace from the chaos of Hanoi. Gave you an idea of the grace and tradition of that period, worth a visit.

I have always visited it earlier in the day and when I went pass it around 6pm it was closed. Your best bet is to schedule your visit a bit earlier in the afternoon and go for dinner around that area when you are finished... More
