You'd be stupid not to book a hotel in this area. So much to do and see within walking distance. Area is relatively safe, just practice normal safety procedures.

Lots of little shops, stalls, and restaurants. A couple of old houses are still preserved and can be visited. Don´t miss trying some local dishes like egg coffee or bun cha :)

The old quarter is a lot of fun to walk around - I rate it much better and cleaner than Ho Chi Minh city. There's lots to do and see, and you can always find cheap food and drinks. There's some nice vegan restaurants out...More

This area is great to see a lot of different things in area. Shops, both local and international. Restaurants of varying fare. Pricing all over the board. See local flavor and tourists mingling together

There's loads of places for a beer. There's a couple of places right on the lakeside and plenty of places overlooking the lake. Lots of cafes/bars/ restaurants around the streets.
