The indoor display on Vietnam war vs US was a interesting and detailed one. Many weapons were on exhibits. There was even a letter for US pilots to give to locals if they were shot down. It explained in various languages to keep the pilots in safety and the rescuers will be rewarded. I was expecting more infor and exhibits... More

An interesting perspective on the establishment of Vietnam through wars with Japan, France and USA. As would be expected a little one sided but they won.

This was certainly worth doing but dont allow too much time as the maximum you will need would be 2 hours. Be careful as it closes for lunch - a bit strange for a museum.

This museum shows the what but not the why. There is a lot of military hardware, large and small, and many photographs. Explanations are in English and French as well as Vietnamese. History goes right back before the French colonisation. It's very interesting to see how the military changed over the years. The story in the north is very different to the south. Definitely go at either end to compare. The "wreckage" sculpture is amazing.

A living history lesson which was informative and very interesting sharing the experiences of the American war from a Vietnamese perspective . Which I found extremely interesting and able to understand the suffering now from both sides of this 10,000 day conflict.
