Very well done! We had a private tour in English that brought us through all 5 floors. Not only are the displays of herbs informative, there is architecture and beautiful carvings. There are interactive displays and a mock pharmacy with costumes for pictures. Well worth our time!

This place should not be missed when visiting Ho Chi Minh City. Though distant from the main tourist districts, it is worth the trip. The staff explained the elements of the museum very well, they even tried to greet guests in their native languages which is a very great effort. As a pharmacist myself, I enjoyed the place a lot... Visited this in a group tour organised by the Royal Society of Medicine. We arrived at the museum and were shown a short film with reference to historical and geographical relevance to traditional medicine. The tour took us through three floors on which we were able to see examples of compounds and substances used and ancient manuscripts. There was a... More

Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hostess spoke fluent English and was a joy to visit with. I felt very welcomed. The building is a bit of history itself. Many interesting things to see.

I am so happy my partner found this little Gem! I'm quite interested in eastern medicine, but even if I wasn't this trip would be well worth it just for the architecture- it's stunning. A true treasure. A hidden gem that I am so grateful I was able to experience.

A fascinating museum - historically and architecturally with excellent herbal teas and other products available for sample/purchase. Visitors receive a brochure upon arrival but to get the most out of your visit, book a guide in advance with Saigon Hot Pot (saigonhotpot.vn). Local college students offer free, customized tours of HCMC in English and the FITO Museum is one of... More

The guide was extremely informative explains ancient and herbal remedies. It was amazing how much was crammed into what appeared to be a small space. Bring water as it was hot inside. Steps make it a little difficult for those with knee or back issues. Medicines/herbal remedies available for purchase. Complimentary cup of tea served.

This was more interesting than we expected, and we had a private guided tour, explaining the history of the building, and then helping us better understand some of the basic tenets of traditional Vietnamese medicine vs. western medicine. I highly recommend.

It was great disclosure of traditional Vietnamese medicine for me. Cost 120VND and it's worth it. Great service and tour guide plus there is shop in case if you would like to buy tea or medicine and tour guide doesn't push to buy anything which is unusual for Vietnam.

We saw the War Remnants Museum the day before so this was a nice counter-balance. The building that the museum is housed in is stunning, and the tour takes you down each floor while you examine aspects of traditional medicine along the way. At the end you get tea and the option to purchase medicines made by FITO. In total... More
