The princes and princesses and their parents used to live here apparently. They house was oriented according to Feng shui principles and personally if I’m running short of time I’d rather visit the Citadel first and give this a miss.

It’s interesting and very informative to visit this remarkable house kept in the style and times of its owners. Nice glimpse back in time to the Mandarins of old Hue.

The house I visited was outside Hue by the banks of the Perfume River. Architecturally quite interesting, it was said to have been the residence of a local 'mandarin' (Chinese influence once again creeping in?). The current owner is claimed to be a descendant. One's main...More
