We were a group of 7 people, all young and do not have a very active lifestyle. But we walked from the bottom to the villas located near the summit of the mountain (approx 13km or 7.9miles) in 6.5-7hours. We were all amazed by the...More

Had our trek today. Great place to go, beautiful scenery. But beware, the full 5 lake hike from start, going along very narrow and slippery rock ledges, with help of ropes, going down wet ladders, walking over slippery rocks and river beds. It's not for...More

Booked a driver to convey us up to the mountain which is a decent reprieve from the hot summer warm. It is decent and cooling up the mountain. You would first be able to do a short climb up to the summit where you get...More

Hi Travellers! Will be traveling to Vietnam at the end of April and will be in Da Nang for 4 nights. Me and my partner want to go to visit Bach Ma for a daily tour however it appears that the majority of the tour organiser reviewed on TA organise these tours from Hue. Having myself look around, I have found different info. It appears that it is possible to reach the park by bus from Da Nang however the bus just drop the tourists off at the info Center which is about 3 kms from the main entrance. Then to reach the top of the mountain it takes approx 21 kms. Therefore highly recommended to get a transfer to the Hai Van Pass to enjoy the view and maybe walk down till the falls to jump into the refreshing water. Prices are a rip off for food, accommodation and it appears that a transfer from the Info center to the top costs 20-30 USD. My question is: What do you recommend? Where the trials start? I am more than happy to consider your comments and suggestions bear in mind that wherever is the most suitable starting point I can organise eventually a private transfer. Thank you

My advice: join a tour. Twenty dollar or so for a day tour is bearable. Without a tour, you have a good chance to get lost in the jungle. Private tour has no advantage: usually the private part is only transfer, while the... More

In the park, they have Bach Ma Villa (Think that is the name) not far from the river. They were also renovating the Morin at the top, but that would probably be expensive if already open.
