My family and I recently went on a snorkelling trip from Nha Trang. Huy was in charge and was fantastic throughout and made every effort to make our trip enjoyable, especially when my daughter was feeling sea sick! The trip was well organised and the catering on board was good too. If you're in Vietnam for a short time and are looking for a snorkelling experience, I can recommend Vietnam Active.

My boyfriend and i decided to go diving. My boyfriend had open water certifikate. I had only had 2 dives before. We walked to their office and we got a nice welcome and briefing about the oportunities from Andy. I was not yet sure if i wanted to take the open water course, but they offeret that i could go discovery diving and then decide after. If i decided to take the certifikate, they would include the discovery dive in my course, so i wouldnt have to go to the pool. It World out really nice and the diving spots were really fine. The first one was not that interesting, but it was really good for practicing skills. Even though i didnt knew whether i should take the course, Andy still took me really seriously and he took his time to teach me the skills that you usually learn in the pool. He was very professional and good at explaining. He also took some great photos of the dive! After i had the discovery dive and my boyfriend the fundive, we both chose to take a course. I took the open water PADI and he took the advanced. We were pick up and dropped of at out hotel, which was nice and the boat was also really nice. There was unlimited fruit, coffee and tea. The other to days of the diving, we had different instructors. They were all really nice and professional - and patient if neccesary. We had Max, ZheZhe and Vu. They were very professional and good at going trough the different exercises and skills with us. They also seem like they really want to give you a good experience - and they are also attentive when it comes to safety.
I think it all went really good - there is lunch on the boat. All the crewmembers are nice and they are ready to answer any questions you have. And now i am a certified diver!

I came here alone but I had a wonderful time with Duc! It was my first time do a Scuba, he lead me very kindly and perfectly! Also good photographer! I recommend this tour to everyone who visit Nha trang!

What a bad experience. My girlfriend and me planned on going diving. So we looked around in Nha Trang and checked out some diving clubs. All of them made a pretty good impression. We decided for Vietnam Active because of the Tripadvisor rating and because of the nice talk we have had with the people there. We told them, that we are snorkeling and that we never done any diving. They explained everything to us and told us, that we will start with snorkeling, to get used to everything and that we do everything slow. That we liked alot. So of course we were excited and mega-ready the next morning. The day started with the pickup.
We drove to the pier and got onto the boat. After we started, 2 teachers came to us and explained everything to us. Everything sounded good.
So we put all the equipment on and suddenly they said to us, that we have to jump into the water(with inflated vest), which was proberbly 10m deep. I thought its quite strange to start like this, since we had all the heavy equipment on our body. But anyway, we did it and we were fortunately floating. After that we were swimming with the teachers close to the island to have some shallow water (3m).
They controlled the buttons (up and down) which I would like have done by myself, since I wanted the control, but ok. They did it. My girlfriend became a little bit of panic and couldn’t do it immediately and suddenly her teacher “Serena” asked her, if she really want to do that and dive. What a teacher is asking such a question when you are with full equipment already in the water?
After view tries she managed it. So we went 3 meters down and we should try to equalize (pressing the air out through the ears). My girlfriend and I were not able to do that, for whatever reason. Then the teacher “Serena” told us, that we should swim back to the boat. She told us, that we cannot dive, since we cannot equalize the pressure.
So we went for snorkeling instead, since we tried. What we have experienced after that was unbelievable. Everybody on that boat ignored us and didn’t say one word to us. Nobody except the 2 vietnamese boat driver (crew members).
I expected some words like “sorry that you weren’t able to dive. Maybe another time….” But nothing? What a poor quality. I give 1 point because of the 2 vietnamese crew members, which told us, that they felt sorry for us. They were the only ones talking to us.
When we drove back to the headquarter (starting point), the teachers left the car without saying anything. No Goodbye no nothing. I can just not recommend this place at all. Sorry. Worst experience in 4 weeks vacation.

Vietnam Active is the best place to rent a bicycle in Nha Trang. They have a good selection of top-quality bikes. I rented a Trek and was extremely pleased with the bike (brand new, excellent quality). Other places in town only rent really old, single-gear bikes. Also, the staff and owner are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I highly recommend Vietnam Active!

After reading the excellent reviews for this company we had no hesitation in popping along to the shop to book a kayaking tour on the river Cai. We were greeted by two very enthusiastic ladies one of which was really helpful booking us in and offering us cycle hire as a thank you. On leaving the shop we returned about half hour later just to inform them 1of us had a seafood allergy (the less helpful lady said ok shouldn't be a problem). Much later on that evening a message had been left at our hotel saying the trip had been cancelled due to low water levels on the river. We were so disappointed and kept thinking how come this wasn't mentioned earlier. The following day we returned to collect the deposit to a very shocked nice lady who had no idea we had been cancelled and was very apologetic whilst the other lady was saying something and was quickly trying to get us out of the shop. After further investigation we discovered the river levels have been the best they were in a long time. We would of appreciated a little honesty as to what the real reason was...maybe my seafood allergy or maybe my partners size....either way sadly left a nasty taste!!

Today was successful due to the awesome staff and instructors. Max in particular was a god-send. My GoPro was malfunctioning, and he gave me his personal one to use during the trip. Everyone was friendly, and made travelling solo extremely enjoyable.
As to the snorkeling itself, it was great for Vietnam. Didn't see anything too crazy, but the parrot fish were exceptionally beautiful.

I did 2 fun dives with them. The staff are nice, very friendly. Dive spots are ok, nothing special, few fishes and corals. For lunch you make your own sandwich with the ingredients provided, good fruits, coffee, tea and water included.
You are pushed to wear your equipment quickly and not encouraged to do the basic checks. Even though we tried to do our checks, my girlfriend BCD didn't have the safety strap that holds the tank we warned them and they said it was ok(really?!).My regulator had a very short hose (I don't know why, shorter than any I have ever used), I couldn't turn my head to look around very uncomfortable.
I chose VAA, which was not the cheapest option because of the good reviews but got a bit disappointed. Hope they improve their procedures.Never play with safety, not even in favourable conditions.

A definite must - the staff are friendly, great gear and we saw hundreds of different fish, although there is a lot of trash in the ocean which is sad - I do believe everyone can make a difference by collecting one or two plastic bags out the ocean. Otherwise, a great experience and worth the trip.

Hello, we are 2 people who are arriving in Nha Trang on Sapphire Princess on Jan 11th. Arriving 7am, departing 4pm.
