this lane is a must to visit; shamesless how a superpower time after time harmless civilians kills without ever brought to justice, let alone made amends for it.

Around 2000 people were killed in a oppression and the tombstone of these martyrs are placed in the High Land park . These tombstones are laid in a clean place and are maintained very nicely, a very quite and calm place

This is a part of Azerbaijan recent history which must never be forgotten. The memorial tower and lane are beautifully presented and so peaceful. I was proud to be able to pay my respect to these innocent victims of an unforgivable atrocity. Whist up the...More

I hate reviewing memorial sites such as this one, because they should be treated with respect and not as tourist destinations; TA won't let me add photos unless I write a review, however. The walkway is fairly quiet and serene; touching in places especially when...More

The Martyrs Lane is a Turkish/Azerbijan cemetery and a memorial site dedicated to those who were killed by the Soviets. It is sad to see how some of them were as young as 11, but never forgotten by the Azerbijanis.

Worth visiting because of the view - overlooking the city. Beautiful garden next to the upper Funicular Station.

A place with such historical significance. There was so much peace and calm around the place. The furnicular ride to the top was nice too. The view from the hill top was beautiful.

After you see the mighty flame towers peering over you, a small beautiful Turkish style mosque at another corner the road will lead you through the martyrs' lane up to an eternal flame burning vigorously. This is a rather sombre walk along side carefully maintained...More

From Flame Towers to the Highland Park, you can see photos and tombstone of all famous eternal heroes who gave their life in Black January Massacre. Officials were visiting this area putting flowers near the flame tower during our visit.
