Ancient and historical place of Bangladesh. This place give you the historic administrative, commercial and maritime experience of ancient Bengal. Nice place. Reminds us the history of past. Really enjoyed here. There is a Museum also, must visit the place & Its very near to a village called 'Panam City'. I will highly recommend everyone to visit that part also.... More

I made an afternoon trip of this intriguing site and a neighboring lake/park. It is an hour by public bus from Dhaka and worth the time. Go on the weekend and join in the fun with local Bangladeshis.

I was surprised when I noticed that long time ago people also consider the sewerage system. This historical place could be an example, however we don't learn anything from history. Sonaraon is not far from Dhaka if there is no traffic. Very good spot for one day visit. The roads are ok.

Be sure to go with someone who knows how to get there and is aware of the traffic situation. It was lovely being free to walk around lovely gardens, the museum was interesting... More

15th century several structures. These includes a Palace, a Museum, several bridges, ponds and small town. The rulers were called Baro Bhuya (12 landlords) from Muslim Rajpot who were preventing Mughal empires to expand into Bengal. Isa Kha was most prominent among them. The structures are in good shape. Anyone, who likes historical place will like these place.
