Good to visit even in the afternoon to see what grooves in the tropics... There are also some souvenirs for sale.

We spent half an hour or so strolling around this colourful market opposite our hotel. There were lots of interesting things for sale. Make sure you go in the morning, the whole place shuts from 12 til 2 on a Friday.

Nearly every taxi driver and tour guide we used in Bandar pointed out this market. We spend an hr here and found it to be clean, unusual, and a nice variety of local products. Even if you've been to dozens of markets all over, this is a good one and worth an hr or so.

This place cannot be called as a tourist attraction. It is a neat organised market which sells vegetables, dried fish and fish depending on the timing. Can come here while you are around Bandar.

This fruit and vegetable market is located in the center of the city also easily accessible by water taxi. Well worth a visit for affordable refreshments and some extra vitamins during the hot weather of Brunei

This is a great market that contains both food and crafts from Brunei. It is clean, well-organized and the products are inexpensive. It will give you a great feel for the the food and handicrafts of Brunei and is especially lively on Friday mornings before everything closes from 12-2pm for Friday prayers. I would recommend spending 30 minute to an... More

The market place is situated in the town centre and within walking distance from hotels in town area. The market is always vibrantly busy especially on fridays and sundays. Very colourful and one can find all sorts of local produce, antiques and exotic pets for sale. This is a good place for experiencing local culture and mingling with the local... More

Locals go there to buy their weekly rations including veggies, & spices. You can park in the area but what I did was, I went for a boat tour first then asked the boatmen to drop us straight at the market. They have stairs that go up to the market.

It's still by the river (sort of...) but more importantly it's still full of local vegetables and foodstuff which are home grown and made from.home.... It's now located in a better surroundings than before. Locals shop here .....Worth a wander one morning especially if you are staying in one of the hotels in Bandar Seri begawan

Locals arrive here early for their daily produce, there's a wet market section with seafood and plenty of fruits, vegetables and dried fare. Tourists can purchase souvenirs at high prices and pets such as hamsters, birds and more are also for sale. Worth a look around and take some nice photographs too.
