Interesting exhibitions on Brunei's history but more importantly, it's best-stocked bookstore featuring works on Brunei's history and culture, including quite a few in English. It's not easy finding English-language books on Brunei (especially academic volumes) so this is a must-stop if you're looking for books...More

There are some information in English and some good background history. But a lot of it is the genealogy record of the Sultan, which is like familial dictatorships around the world, used to justify its existence to its people. Skipable.

Gave me a good insight into the history of Brunei and Borneo. Free entry. Well presented. Would recommend as a place to go especially if you like history.

Interesting museum could be more interesting to foreigners with more English translations on the exhibits. Those panels that were translated covering the colonial history of Brunei were fascinating! Like many people, I wasn't too familiar with Brunei's development and history, especially under the British and...More

Not much to see in this small museum. Bali has almost no public bus service. You will end up using taxi for most every trip.
