One of the place that you must visit in Brunei Darussalam. A brief History about Brunei and the early life of the Sultan. Also contain collection of gifts from foreign dignitary to Brunei Darussalam. There is a souvenir shop inside to buy local souvenir.

Ostentatious self advertisement of the corrupt sultanate. It shows beautifully why the kingdom became so small over time. Most of its inhabitants joined the Brookes kingdom of Sarawak making it an insignificant piece of land.

I would visit the Heritage Centre (next door) first and then perhaps take a coffee/tea or even a lunch break before visiting this museum.

Visited as part of a small group tour. Very impressive and very well well done. Amazing displays and information. Spent quite some time looking around, so much to see. Good to see and appreciate a definite must see.

We got our hotel to book a half day tour which included this museum but we were a bit rushed due to time constraint. There's lots to see inside. I believe you can get a ticket at the door also
