The Flicks Community Movie Houses are the really unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes.

The Flicks are the ONLY legit movie houses in town also, fully approved by the Ministry of Culture and the Cambodian Department of Cinema.

The Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary movie house from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 30 people.

The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 20 seats movie room.

The Flicks 3 is the latest 30-seats venue on Street 258, which also features a restaurant and guesthouse.

Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 Per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn!

When you're too hot to walk the streets and visit local sights, take a movie break: air conditioning, cold beer and other drinks that you can take into the screening room, and good food that you can order in too. Great local spot. Days before the Academy Awards, they were screening this year's nominees.

I visited Flicks twice while in Phnom Penh. They now have 3 different locations that are each different sizes. I visited Flicks 2 which is great! They show very interesting films, some old some new, but many films you have never heard of that are incredibly diverse!! I enjoy seeing an afternoon show, while it is very hot out and... More

I booked two private screenings at the Flick 1 in Aug 2016 and thanks to Ramon who was able to screen the movie that I wanted plus he was able to arrange for Alma Cafe to cater a Mexican buffet lunch for 40 people . This is the first time that my friends and youths experiencing watching a movie either... More

We went to The Flicks 2 on Street 136...seedy neigbourhood aside, this place was magical. Best rooftop bar we've yet seen...they even have laughing gas available at the bar :) You can make the most of happy hour and take your drinks into the movie. We will be back!

Thank you for your review. Please know you are not reviewing The Flicks 2 Community Movie House, which is the fancy little cinema located on the 2nd floor of The 11 Happy Backpackers Hotel, which you have visited. They'll appreciate your love for their roof top bar, as we don't provide that at all ourselves. We can only feed your... More

Visiting my daughter who's working in Pnomh Penh for a few months, she suggested we go to see a film here - she's a regular here. It seems to be well known amongst young overseas visitors / NGO workers in Pnomh Penh. It was comfortable and friendly - and we really enjoyed the film.

I wish all movie houses went to the same effort to make you feel at home. With the thought put into its setup and the range of movies on offer, the Flicks strikes the perfect balance of imagination and sophistication. The very clear idea of offering an oasis from the city with movies, documentaries, TV series, and even tailored requests... More

I have been to all 3 Flicks' movie houses. They are in different parts of the city and some a bit hard to find, but they show interesting international movies for only $3.50. The venues hold about 20 - 30 people and most of the "seating" involves lying on a cushioned floor. For most movies (unless it is something as... More

For only 3.50 USD, you get to catch a movie on a big screen in a comfortable, air conditioned and sound-proofed mini theater right next to the big park. It was the perfect way to spend an evening with friends. And you can have food and drinks delivered by the restaurant it's located in. Perfect!
