The Flicks Community Movie Theaters are the most unique locations in Phnom Penh where you can enjoy the blockbusters, documentaries and the classics on a big wide screen, in "uber-comfy" air conditioned movie rooms, from before there were big cineplexes. The Big Flicks 1 on Street 95 is the legendary little movie theater from the time there was no other big screen in town, located in an original wooden Cambodian house and features an all air conditioned bar and a leafy outside terrace. Its movie room seats 32 people. The Flicks 2 is its little brother in the city center and also screens the must-see movie for all visitors, The Killing Fields, daily in its 16 seats movie room, located on the 2nd floor of a backpackers hotel. Enjoy your movies for only $3.50 per day, with a drink, snacks and homemade fresh popcorn available at the bars! Welcome home!

I have been here twice. I found the first visit (2 years ago) rather disappointing because of the staff behind the bar. One of the female staff members was very off. I was the only person at the bar but she seemed oblivious to my...More

Dear Martin, The Flicks 2 is our more backpacker/tourist targeting venue, so this means it will screen movies like The Killing Fields and Don't Think I've Forgotten: Cambodia's Lost Rock 'n Roll more often on the weekly schedule. The Big Flicks 1 however always has...More

When you're too hot to walk the streets and visit local sights, take a movie break: air conditioning, cold beer and other drinks that you can take into the screening room, and good food that you can order in too. Great local spot. Days before...More
