Nice walk

Nice to walk along and plenty cafés back across the road to sit in. Locals spend a lot of time on the quayside selling fruit etc.

The area is always busy with Tuk Tuks and cars pressing together, but as soon as the sun sets, the area takes on a cool, relaxing tone although even more people crowd into it. There is plenty to see and do on the waterfront. Monks strolling up and down in their orange robes and flip-flops, Fortune tellers tell the future... More

A lot of effort has been put into improving the Riverside walk, and it continues to be a meeting place for Cambodians and expats alike. Once the improvements are complete - the new promenade - and with a bit of effort to keep it neat, it will be a very enjoyable place to mingle.

Good spot for a stroll. Can walk along the river uninhibited. Sunset over the river is the best time for the quay

This is where you get to see the daily goings on, if you look hard you will see a lot. As you walk you can chose a restaurant as you walk or just enjoy the view

Anytime of the day be it early morning exercises or daytime hawkers or the early evening food carts, the riverfron along Sisowath Quay is a vibrant place to visit and observe how the local Cambodian people go about their day to day life. You will see people bathing or doing laundry at the waters edge, fresh fruit a plenty, cut... More

We were walking along the riverside on a afternoon after lunch. There was no wind which makes it quite hot as there weren't many sheds.

Phnom Penh is extremely walkable and this is a great artery to traverse the city, especially in the cool evening breeze. It's a lovely walk mixing with locals and passing lots of lovely eateries, bars and night life.

A potentially lovely, wide promenade by the river, with many intereting sites along its length. Unfortunately, there are many poor people living/sleeping in the area, many in threadbare clothes of naked. It is strewn with garbage and many areas smell like a toilet. It is close to many sites that visitors visit and should be kept much better than it... More
