Excellent to wander around looking at all the various food and vegetable stalls. Best ribs ever at the back and lots to see. We did it with a. Guide which helped as would not have been brave enough to try somethings ourselves !

Really fun walk through the market. Never knew exactly where we were and every corner had something interesting. Has more local feel than the central market or Russian market.

This place had it all, beautiful khmers and chams, products, lightings, friendly people. If you are an avid photographer this is the essence of Kandal the province where Phnom Penh sits.

For those used to this part of the world, the market is very average. For those who are not, it will be quite the experience, I'm sure. It's a food market with fresh veggies, meats, spices, etc. Best part about it are the noodle stalls...More

This market is frequented by the locals. You rarely find any foreigners here. It's very hot and smells, especially after rain. However, the items sold here are very organic and you can see all walks of life of the Khmers frequenting this local market. It's...More

The Kandal Market was just down the street from our hotel, The Ohana Palace. We loved taking photos of the vendors loading up their stalls just before sunrise every morning. They brought in every type of food imaginable. We saw them carrying in sides of...More

To be fair, we were just passing in the afternoon, and it was probably already dead at that moment - most customers shopped in the morning, and most sellers went home. However, it was interesting going throuh the stalls of those who remained. But, again,...More
