It is very much a local kind of thing and you can find anything in there. It is safe, but I would recommend going with a local. It is truly an Central Asian bazaar. Sights, smells, and all sorts of cool stuff to see. It is very easy to get lost in there.

I did not like it very much. The food portion and almost all selling the same thing. There are no local souvenirs or local handicrafts. More like a Chinese trinket fair. Everything has great prices

There are everything in this bazaar. Food, groceries, clothes and other mobile accessories. Russian speaking is required skill for shopping here. The price always tend to increase 50% at least if they notice that you are foreigner.

We visit this place most of the time and it's cheaper comparing to other shopping malls. It is very popular among local people. And of course if you want to see real Eastern bazaar, it is the right place. It is always crowded. Very good place to buy food, dried fruits and so on. Also be careful with your money... More

First and foremost.... good to have a local with you when you are there especially to interpret. The language is either kyrgyzs or russian. Once in.... it literally is a maze... so do take note of the shops as you pass by as much as you can. The people are friendly and you may haggle over the prices but be... More

Osh Bazaar, one of the most interesting bazaars or markets I've been to. My favourite was the section which sells all sorts of dried fruit and nuts. Visit the public toilets there only if you really really have to. At the time, it cost about 3 som (approx. USD0.04) for entry.

This is the place to get dried fruits and nuts from all over Central Asia. The apricots and walnuts are local. There are different kinds of almonds, raisins, pistachios, hazelnuts, etc. They give free samples to help you choose.
