Went here tonight. Beautiful sunset and there were tons of Lao families hanging out. Huge area and when we were there there were 2 aerobic classes going on with large number of Laos participating. Fun to watch. Wish there was a similar place where I live. Also the sight of the night market which is huge and you won't believe... More

A nice place to hang and chill out in the evening after walking the night market which is situated along the main street opposite the riverside. The night market does provide a variety of items as well as food stalls for tourist. Further up the river front there are some new shop complexes where food stalls and drinking holes are... More

Walking distance is neat at night. U can walk park side or walk on the street regulated for people but night market goods are usally not suitable for tourists. 밤이 걸어다니기엔 좋음. 공원쪽과 도로 길가 쪽있음. 그치만 물건의 질은별로 살만한거 없음.

The Riverside promenade was just five minutes away from my hotel. As you head towards the Riverside, passing a street full of small restaurants, bars and massage parlours, you find a large well organised night market. The stalls, each with a red roof, and in straight line to its neighbour, well lit interiors have decent quality merchandise far superior to... More

All the action in town for tourists happens here at dusk. There is an extensive night market, a quiet stroll along the Mekong looking acros the river at Thailand, seeing exercisers jazz out, and eat lots of fresh seafood from the dozens of street cafes.

In just this one central location, there are so many things that one can do. Good restaurants are located along the stretch of road - Indian, Chinese and western cuisines to whet your appetite. This is also a good place to catch the sunset while catching a view of Nong Khai, Thailand in the near distant and Mekong River in... More

As the sun sets, nightlife rises seemingly from dark shadows. Vendor stalls appear miraculously, and more locals than tourists arrive to make purchases for their homes. I found this an excellent place to interact with locals, sample area cuisine (fried chicken feet, though, were a bit of a turnoff), and enjoy an ambiance not found in tour itineraries. This night... The Mekong Riverside Park consists of a modern promenade which goes for kilometres, with rest places and children's playgrounds scattered along its length. The promenade is close to the road and set quite a way back from the Mekong River, which was low in March due to the dry season. But it is set back so it does not go... More

Beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Catch the aerobics dance group every night from 6-7 dancing right by the riverfront platform (4000kip donation) and have a blast and good workout. Good place to calm and enjoy.
