You will find different areas categorised according to different religions. Also you will see tombstones fixed over hundred years ago, which made from granite and marble including imported tombstones. There is also an... More

Went there to participate a funeral. Its located in a busy commercial area. However inside is very calm and green. While walking along the thousands of tombstones which are very different and nicely built you can rethink about your life purpose. Not a place to go and see the attraction, but if you happened to go you can walk around... More

Where Hindu section concerned need lots of improvement. Need a good bathroom as it is customary before last rites performed sons take a bath. No proper parking available. Gas section doesn't operate during school hours.

One wonders why an earth this spacious burial ground was built in an important place. So crowded with traffic & at times impossible to even go for a funeral. I advice please let bury anyone at any time. Not only after 4

Well maintained cemetery, the tombstones are very interesting to read if you can find the time. If one is interested in family trees you can do so by looking at the family burial sites, which has graves of many generations. . Some of the tombstones are very artistically crafted. Not a happy place but interesting.

It's not just the largest cemetery in SL for me, I went there for Sir Arthur C. Clarke. I don't think it could be regarded as an attraction, but if you are a fan of Sir Arthur C. Clarke, you should definitely visit this place. Also there're a lot of different kind of tombstones most of which are very beautiful... More

Very well maintained cemetery right in the middle of Colombo. If you are interest in history and architecture you can spend a whole day looking and comparing artful tombstones from 18th century to date. Beautiful monuments and lush greenery will make you forget that this is cemetery.

This cemetery is nicely maintained by responsible people. It gives some attractions to place. There are some giant trees and birds. People can't recognize at once this place is a park or cemetery.

The largest & best kept cemetery in Sri-Lanka. .It is not a tourist attraction like eg.in the USA, where cemeteries are so beautiful in some places that they have conducted tours.Anybody is allowed to visit this place if they wish to.
